Our Breeding Program
| Our current breeding program began with Nanny's litter-sister "Shirley" (Ch. Skeedoodle's Shirley Temple). In 1994 we co-bred a litter with Karen Flint and her son Aaron. Shirley was bred to SBIS Ch. Allerei's Rodeo Drive (Cowboy). This breeding produced a very nice litter of puppies, of which we kept two: Ch. Tivio's Sagehill Dancer, ROMX (Zoey) and Ch. Tivio's Fortune Pending (Tigger). Zoey is a multiple Group winning dog and, to the best of our knowledge, the youngest whippet to ever win the Hound Group, doing so at her very first show at six months of age. | |
| In 1996 we bred Zoey to SBIS Ch. Nasusa's
Polo of Taymarc (Ch. Saxon
Shore Amber Waves ROMX x Ch. Nineveh Royal Denby). The
puppies in this litter were quite nice, including MSBIS/SBIS
Am/Can Ch. Tivio's Allure, ROMX
(Allie), Ch. Tivio's Impromptu (Cricket), Am/Can Ch.
Tivio's Canace (Stevey), and Ch. Tivio's True Talent
(Mimi). Allie was bred a few times and that offspring is
now the basis of our current breeding program. Our goal with this program is to breed functional whippets who can do what they are suppose to do - course game, while having success in the show ring. We have produced multiple dogs who have not only achieved their titles in the show ring, but excelled by going Best in Show, Specialty Best in Show and Best in Field. We come from an equine background, so soundness of both body and mind are of the utmost importance to us. |
